For school districts, agencies & community organizations

Let’s Tackle That Trauma Together!

An 10-week Intervention Program for girls in grades 6-8.

EverGreen Meadow Services (EGMS) offers an 10-week Trauma Intervention Telehealth Program for adolescent girls who are at risk of self-harm or suicide led by a skilled group of multi-cultural clinicians.

This is an interactive, creative, and culturally competent program where all girls feel welcomed and respected.

Each group consists of up to eight girls, grouped by age, and begins with a referral from a school district, agency, organization, or therapist. Once assessed, the girls will participate in an intensive and meaningful program that includes group activities and individual therapy.

Parents or guardians also participate in group activities. Parent groups are available in English and Spanish.

At the end of the program, EGMS will issue a report to the family and referring entity of each girl, outlining our follow-up recommendations.

Let’s Tackle That Trauma Together Virtual Program Includes:

Biopsychosocial Assessment
In the first week, our program begins with an assessment, conducted by our Clinical Director who will interview our participant and her parents, guardians, or caregivers.

This thorough assessment provides a conceptual framework to understand and examine the impact of the trauma on her development, psychopathology, and risk pathways. The assessment also includes an Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) screening.

Group SEL Activities
Once assessed and admitted into the program, girls participate in six weeks of dynamic sessions and activities that build competencies in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in the areas of emotions, self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationships. Activities include Drama Therapy to help examine traumatic events and build SEL capacities and Body Movement to “tackle” that trauma that is “locked” within the body.

Individual Therapeutic Intervention
In between the group activities, they’ll also meet one-on-one with a therapist. Collaborating with their therapist, they’ll begin to work through issues presented in their assessment and during group.

Family Therapy
Each family will meet with a therapist at the beginning and end of the program to discuss their family dynamics and additional resources to continue their journey to “tackle” trauma.

4-week Parent, Guardian & Caregiver Support Group
It’s important for the girls to know that they’re not alone in this journey. Parents, guardians, and caregivers will come together in their own group to learn about the impact of trauma and how best to support themselves, their daughters, and their families.

Comprehensive Report
At the end of the program, EGMS will provide a comprehensive report that will include a summary of the assessment, her program participation, and tailored next-step recommendations. Our commitment to each girl and her family is to resource the next program or support system for her journey.

Bridging the Digital Divide
Each girl will receive a tablet and headphones for the telehealth therapy sessions and groups.
